Mission Statement: The EGBAR Foundation
is a vehicle for change. It's primary function: To create
an appreciably cleaner environment by instilling in children
throughout the world, the importance of "Making a Difference"
one wall, one community at a time.
The EGBAR Foundation was established in
1989 by Bruce P. FaBrizio, President, CEO & Chairman of
Sunshine Makers, Inc. to clearly demonstrate Sunshine Makers,
Inc. steadfast commitment to environmental issues, the company
contributes a percentage of its annual sales of Simple Green
products to the EGBAR Foundation.
The Foundation embodies the spirit of the company,
which believes in the importance of a safely cleaned environment.
The Foundation's basic goals are to:
- Educate children throughout the world about the importance of recycling and protecting the environment.
- Create greater awareness of community environmental clean-up needs and what can be done to meet them.
- Challenge all segments of the community, both young and old, to be responsive to these needs.
- Raise and provide funds to affect action on projects that address these needs.
Chelsea Bryan, the EGBAR Foundation's Managing Director
observes, "The natural curiosity of children propels
them to find new solutions to the problems they see around
them. The EGBAR Foundation is instilling in children a sense
of importance and reinforcing their ability to affect change." We have created an amazing interactive, environmental website:
www.egbar.org. Kids can find out anything they need to know
about the latest environmental issues, careers or just plain
fun and games! The internet is the wave of the future. We
believe it can benefit the environment by not only reducing
the use of paper, but spreading the EGBAR message - "Make
a Difference!" - worldwide. The interest from children,
teachers, and parents has been an inspiration for everyone
associated with EGBAR. While we will continue to support
national and international programs, we look forward to
expanding activities to encourage children to "Make
a Difference" in their community.
